what is designerating?
Designerating is coming up with great ideas and solutions, then producing something you’re proud of. It’s being inspired by the world and finding ways to bring it into your life. It’s not sweating the small stuff, but being obsessed with the details. It’s the pottering, unconscious state of seeing everything you do through a lens of calm, logical aesthetics. It is, in essence, a word I made up to describe what I do when I’m doing it. I am a designer, I designerate, let’s do some designerating.
the story so far
Once upon a time there was a young girl who loved to create things more than anything else in the world. At parents’ evening in 1992 her art teacher said, ‘If Libby becomes an artist, she’ll never be rich . . . but she’ll be happy’.
So she did that.
